Alamo City Republican Women is now accepting applications for a $1,000.00 scholarship.

Requirement: A woman with U.S.citizenship, residing in Texas and attending a Texas institution of higher learning.The applicant shall exhibit a strong commitment to the Republican philosophy.

Requirement: A declared major in political science, government, history, media, journalism or elementary education.

Requirement: Completion of sophomore level of study.

Requirement: A GPA of 2.5 or 75%.

Requirement: An essay by the applicant.

Requirement: Three letters of recommendation from someone other than a family member.

Requirement: Applicant must have volunteered a minimum of 10 hours for the Republican Party or Republican Candidate.

(This could be blockwalking, working in your Precinct, Senatorial District, State Convention, or volunteering for a Republican candidate in any race).
