Maybe some of our newer members do not know that in February, we do not meet at Oak Hills Country Club because this is the month we try to recruit new members by holding a Membership Recruitment Reception. This year Susan and Aubra Franklin are graciously allowing us to use their fabulous facility, Franklin Park. If the weather cooperates we will hold the event on their beautiful patio otherwise we will be in the elegant Franklin Room. Since this is a retirement community everywhere is handicap accessible. Parking is unlimited across the street in the strip center and on both sides of Sonterra Place, a very wide street. There is a map inside this newsletter. As you will see you, can get to Sonterra Place from every direction without ever having to go on 1604 if you do not wish too.
The most important thing is to bring potential members with you. The following always seems to be confusing to many of our members — the cost to attend is a bargain at $30.00, which includes free membership for 2013 for new members. This special is for new members only. If a guest attended the luncheon at Oak Hills Country Club and then joined, the cost would be $48.00 so this is a good savings for her/him. If you are a current member and you have already paid your 2013 dues it is $10.00 for you, plus we are requesting you bring a finger food. Remember the $10.00 is only for paid-up 2013 members, not for guests. If a guest wants to attend without the free membership, it is our regular price of $20.00.
