President's Messages > October 2014

We are so happy that you gave Chad Kent such a warm welcome at the September luncheon.   We were a little hesitant about how you would receive him since this is the political season and he was going to speak on the Constitution.  However, it is a hot topic right now since our President and others appear to be ignoring the Constitution so we are so glad he was our speaker.   He sold a lot of books too!

The Bexar GOP Satellite Center is up and running.  This is the location where people will be coming by to pick up political signs and literature during the month of October.   We need you to volunteer.  There are no phone calls to voters to be made.  We know many of you do not like to do that so this is a perfect volunteer job.   You just sit, read a book or visit and wait for people to drop by to get yard signs.  You may bring a friend to help.  Teenagers, college students, and husbands are welcome

We have no kitchen facilities-- only two small “dorm-type” refrigerators for water.   Regarding food, Roberto’s Mexican Restaurant is adjoining us.  They are open 24 hours and very busy so the food must be good.  Starbucks, Jack in the Box and others are all within walking distance.

Beginning October 6, we are going to be open from 11:00AM to 7:00PM.  Mon-Fri. and 10:00AM to2:00PM on Saturdays.  We have many time slots to fill so please contact me at home 494-6393 or on my cell at 391-5592, or email me with the hours you can work.

The location is 226 Bitters Road, Suite 119.  It is the same parking lot as Hobby Lobby but the other end.  You can enter the parking lot from West Ave, Bitters Road or Embassy Oaks.

We are going to have a very exciting luncheon on the 21st so get your reservations in early.   I would also recommend you arrive early to visit with your friends before the program begins plus you will then have time to shop for gifts at the Boutique.
